Organic Suet Tallow Balm

Kersh Organics uses USDA Certified Organic 100% Grass-fed, Grass-Finished, Pasture Raised Tallow. We get our Tallow from TruBeef Organic in the form of Suet which we render to Tallow. 

It is unbleached, unrefined, unprocessed, and not deodorized. This is important because the process of refining creates toxic byproducts (such as Polyaromatic hydrocarbons) which can cause cancer. This type of processing can strip the nutrients, enzymes, minerals, and vitamins naturally occurring in tallow and leave you with a stripped product lacking in these nutritional benefits. Many other Tallow Products do not disclose where they get their Tallow from. Many of the times, to cut costs, they use Tallow from soy and grain fed cows. We are different. Our cows are humanely raised on green American pasture!

It was designed with humanity in mind. The people who worked and grew this REAL vanilla were paid honestly and fairly for their work. 

Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Tincture, derived from the fragrant beans of the vanilla orchid, infuses this organic tallow balm with a rich, warm vanilla scent and natural antioxidants like vanillin and polyphenols. Frankincense Papyrifera Resin Oil: Obtained from the Boswellia papyrifera tree in Ethiopia and Sudan, this resin oil features a distinctive, fruity undertone from components like n-octyl acetate. Traditionally used in African incense and perfumery, it adds a unique, exotic layer to skincare blends, enriching the balm with a sophisticated scent profile for a more enjoyable topical ritual.

We use only glass jars to contain our product so no nasty plastic chemicals leach into this nutrient dense balm! We also only use 100% lead-free stainless steel and glass to produce our products- thereby not leaching plastic chemicals or heavy metals into our product. This is a clean product from farm to your home.

*Q: Why is your tallow *so* expensive???

A: Well, simply put, many our competitors are selling beef fat they are calling tallow and not truly tallow. 

Real authentic beef tallow comes from rendered beef suet. Suet is exclusively the fat that surrounds the kidneys and loins of the cow. It is higher in vitamins, nutrients, and essential fatty acids rather than beef fat. Beef fat is any fat that comes from the cow and is much cheaper to make (because there’s a LOT more of it) but also it’s much lower in vitamins and nutrients than true tallow. Technically beef fat that does not come from the kidneys/ loins should not be called tallow but that doesn’t stop many companies from calling it tallow. Also, true authentic tallow rendered from suet is very hard- think like waxy chalk and nearly impossible to spread on skin which is why we have to add our Organic Cold-Pressed Avocado oil so that it’s possible to spread on skin. 

Since we actually use real authentic tallow, and not just cheaper beef fat, we have ingredients in our product that cost MUCH more than our competitors. Our profit margins are extremely slim because we want our clean, organic product to be as affordable as possible. Rest assured that our product, while not being the cheapest on the market, can proudly and accurately claim it is indeed true tallow!!!

Summer is here which means our products may melt:

 

Why do products melt during shipping?

 Products like tallow balms, and our organic body care items are made with natural ingredients that can melt at higher temperatures. During transit, especially in hot weather, these products can soften or even melt completely. Make sure to pay attention to your package's tracking information and bring your package inside right away once it is delivered!

 

What should I do if my product arrives melted?

If you notice that your product has melted during shipping, the first thing to do is to grab it off the porch right away. Once inside, place it in the refrigerator immediately. Cooling the product will help it return to a solid state.

 

Can I still use a melted salve or balm product?

If you have a solid state salve or balm product that has melted, it will be fine to use as is once it solidifies again. The quality and effectiveness of the product should not be affected by the melting process.

 

What about whipped products?

Whipped products, on the other hand, may lose their fluffy consistency when melted. If your whipped product has melted, you can try whipping it yourself after it has cooled back down. Alternatively, you can use the product in its solid state, although the texture may be different.

Remember, melting during shipping is a natural occurrence for certain products, especially those made with natural ingredients. By following these simple steps, you can still enjoy the benefits of your favorite whipped products, even if they arrive in a slightly altered state.
