Organic Tallow Deodorant
Your armpits deserve nothing but the best. That’s why we designed Kersh Organic’s Organic Grass-Fed, Grass-Finished Tallow Deodorant.
Here is why this product is fantastic.
1. It is Aluminum-Free. Some studies suggest that Aluminum can cause various health issues. First is the potential link to Alzheimer’s Disease. (1) Its also linked to Parkinson's disease, dialysis encephalopathy, bone disorder, human breast cancer, and it is also considered to be a neurotoxin. (2) So for something that you’re wearing daily, it’s best to avoid Aluminum.
2. It is free of endocrine-disruptors. It does not contain phthalates, parabens, formaldehyde releasers, propylene glycol, GMOs, talc or fragrances. Many deodorants contain ingredients that alter your hormones (think estrogen or testosterone) and leave your body working less optimally. For example, studies show that Lavender or Tea Tree oil can cause estrogenic effects in the body. (3) What this means is that for men, their sperm count can decrease and cause permanent damage to testicles. (4) What this means for women is increase chance for breast cancer (5). These endocrine distruptors can even cause people to gain weight or hold onto extra weight. It also is linked to a slew of other issues- like Cardiovascular disease, Autism / AdHD, various cancers, and even osteoporosis. (6)
3. Ingredients compound in the armpits. If you think you can get a bargain deodorant, you may want to think again. The armpit is not only close to the breast, but its also filled with tons of lymphatic vessels. When you apply deodorant, the skin rubs on top of each other, further increasing the absorption of the product in your system. If your deodorant contains harmful or potentially harmful ingredients, it’s exponentiated in your armpits.
These gentle, toxin-free formulas allow your body to sweat naturally—an important process for detoxification—while keeping you fresh and supporting overall skin health.
Why This Formula Feels So Good
-
Organic Grass-Fed, Grass-Finished Beef Tallow: The star ingredient. Rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, this deeply moisturizing base closely mimics your skin’s own sebum. It absorbs quickly, soothes dryness, and creates a breathable barrier that lasts.
-
Organic Arrowroot Powder: Nature’s moisture absorber. It wicks away wetness without blocking pores.
-
Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil: Naturally antibacterial and antifungal. It helps fight the bacteria that cause odor while conditioning delicate underarm skin.
-
Organic Beeswax: Forms a gentle, protective shield that locks in the other ingredients and prevents irritation from friction or shaving.
-
Baking Soda: A time-tested odor neutralizer that naturally balances pH and eliminates smells at the source.
-
Kaolin Clay: Ultra-gentle detoxifier that draws out impurities and soothes sensitive skin without stripping natural oils.
-
Organic Non-Nano Uncoated Zinc Oxide: A mineral powerhouse that calms irritation and provides gentle, safe odor control — never nano-sized, never coated with questionable additives.
The result? Smooth, non-greasy application, zero baking-soda sting for most users (thanks to the nourishing tallow base), and reliable protection that keeps working even through workouts or long days.
What’s NOT in This Deodorant (and Why That Matters)
We deliberately left out the toxic ingredients that fill most store-bought deodorants and antiperspirants. Here’s exactly what you’re avoiding and why it’s a big deal:
-
No Aluminum Compounds (aluminum chlorohydrate, aluminum zirconium, etc.): These are the active ingredients in nearly every antiperspirant. They literally plug your sweat ducts with metal salts. Many people avoid them because of concerns about long-term accumulation near breast tissue and potential links to hormone disruption and neurological issues.
-
No Parabens (methylparaben, propylparaben, etc.): These cheap preservatives mimic estrogen in the body. They’re endocrine disruptors that have been detected in breast tissue and are banned or heavily restricted in many countries for good reason.
-
No Synthetic Fragrances or Phthalates: Conventional “fresh” scents hide hundreds of undisclosed chemicals, many of which are known hormone disruptors, allergens, and respiratory irritants. Ours has zero added fragrance — just the faint, natural aroma of coconut and tallow.
-
No Triclosan or Harsh Antibacterials: Once praised as a germ-killer, triclosan is now linked to antibiotic resistance, thyroid disruption, and water pollution. It also wipes out your skin’s beneficial microbiome.
-
No Propylene Glycol or Petroleum-Derived Ingredients: This common “moisturizer” is a byproduct of petroleum processing and a known skin irritant that can cause rashes, especially in sensitive underarm skin.
-
No DEA/TEA (Diethanolamine/Triethanolamine): Foam boosters and pH adjusters that can react with other ingredients to form cancer-causing nitrosamines.
-
No Talc, Artificial Colors, or Sulfates: No cheap fillers that can contain heavy metals or irritants, and no dyes that stain clothes or skin.
This deodorant is aluminum-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free, fragrance-free, and completely non-toxic by design. It’s safe for sensitive skin, breastfeeding moms, teens, and anyone who wants to reduce their daily chemical load.
Perfect for everyday use, travel, gym bags, or as a thoughtful gift for anyone switching to clean personal care. Hand-poured in small batches so every jar is fresh and potent.
Want to know more about our Tallow?
Our Tallow comes in the form of Suet which we render to Tallow.
Suet is the premium hard fat surrounding the kidneys and loins, far cleaner and purer than softer leaf fat or muscle trimmings. We render our Organic Grass-Fed Grass-Finished Suet because it contains fewer impurities and a milder scent, plus a superior fatty acid profile that enhances skin absorption and barrier repair.
It is unbleached, unrefined, unprocessed, and not deodorized. This is important because the process of refining creates toxic byproducts (such as Polyaromatic hydrocarbons) which can cause cancer. This type of processing can strip the nutrients, enzymes, minerals, and vitamins naturally occurring in tallow and leave you with a stripped product lacking in these nutritional benefits. Many of the times, to cut costs, they use Tallow from soy and grain fed cows. We are different. Our cows are humanely raised on green pasture!
